A new recommendation that I would create based on facebook’s strengths would be creating a full page banner ad format. I would create a full page facebook advertisement that would display images of specific brands or products within specific companies that are advertising toward the viewers. The full page Facebook advertisement would contain images of products packing and even have the colors of the item. It would be like a picture of a specific product covering the entire facebook page with that product. Not only would the full page banner ad exist as a format but there would also be tabs on the right hand side of the facebook page of products that have been liked by friends within the same company that way companies could advertise multiple products at the same time. The background banner ad could be of crackers while the tabs along the side could be of soft drinks that are produced within the same company. There can be multiple brands within a facebook page that are all produced by the same company. I believe this recommendation would be great for Facebook because of the high volume of views and user’s facebook has on a daily basis. As I had mentioned before Facebook had 845 million monthly active users, 2.7 billion likes and comments per day. Facebook also has 250 million photos uploaded per day and 100 billion friendships. I believe the recommendation I have created based on facebook’s strengths would be very successful for the companies that decided to try this method on facebook. I also believe that advertising on facebook is a very smart idea because it allows advertisements to be seen by a wide range of people throughout the world. Advertising on facebook would allow consumers to have brand recognition because they would continue to see the facebook full page banner advertisements. A hypothetical client that I would suggest that could execute an advertising campaign on facebook using the ad format I have suggested would be Kraft Foods. Kraft Foods is a company that produces a variety of highly consumed products throughout the world. Kraft Foods is currently ranked within the top eight favorite companies in the United States. Kraft Foods is currently ranked at number five. Kraft Foods produces a wide variety of products ranging from cheese’s, cookies, crackers, powered soft drinks and dressings. Some of the brands within Kraft Foods are Nabisco, Crystal Light, Oscar Meyer, Kraft Foods cheese’s and many more other brands. I believe Kraft Foods could execute an advertising campaign full page banner ad format that would consist of many of Kraft Food’s products. One example of the Facebook advertising format that Kraft Foods could create could be of the Oreo cookies since this year in 2012, the Oreo cookie celebrates its 100th birthday. For a limited time Nabisco has created a limited edition birthday cake Oreos. The birthday cake Oreos full page banner ad format could be of the Oreo packing image as the entire background of the facebook page. The background full page banner ad format could be changed by Kraft Foods on a weekly basis, so it could give viewers different products to check out weekly. For one week Kraft Foods could use Nabisco products packaging image as a background page for the facebook page and change it on a weekly basis. After advertising a product within the brand of Nabisco, Kraft Foods could advertise with a different brand within the Kraft Foods brand. The following week Kraft foods can display images of Kraft’s macaroni and cheese or other Kraft cheese’s. The following week Kraft foods could advertise the Crystal Light brand and provide consumers with images of the great tasting crystal light products. I truly believe Kraft Foods would be a great company to do the full size banner advertisements for their products. I am truly sure that Kraft Foods would have a successful campaign when it comes to the full page banner advertisement formats.
